Simple Spheres

Free Art, Installation for a Touchtable

This interactive installation was a project during my studies and is a creative exploration of John Maeda’s "Laws of Simplicity."

Each digital sphere represents one of Maeda's principles, and the artwork itself was developed in accordance with these laws. Programmed using JavaScript in Processing, the installation allows users to control both the speed and size of the spheres through touch, offering an intuitive and engaging experience. By blending interaction with minimalist design, the project embodies the essence of simplicity in a dynamic, user-driven environment.

This project marked the first time I truly started coding, and I quickly discovered how much I enjoy delving into entirely new areas. Learning JavaScript and experimenting in Processing and V4 opened up exciting possibilities for creating playful, interactive projects. I'm glad to have discovered such a new and exciting way to express creativity through technology, which was previously unfamiliar to me.
