MOOD helps people find nightlife experiences that match their mood by showing the vibe, noise level, and available safety options before they arrive at an event.
Designed and prototyped as a personal Figma challenge, the project explores how digital design can translate emotions into real-world decisions – helping users discover events that truly fit their state of mind and making nightlife more accessible for neurodivergent people.
Inspired by nightlife, neurodiversity, and the desire for safety in social environments, the app is built around three key areas:
These decisions allowed me to experiment with both emotional design and UI detail, combining nightlife aesthetics with reflective interaction design.
Visual Identity
Built on the contrast between darkness and neon light, the identity reflects nightlife aesthetics and the diversity of moods.
Typography
Clean, minimal typography lets motion and glowing gradients express mood shifts and emotional transitions.
Color & Motion
A shifting neon palette and subtle motion visualize changing moods and create a continuous sense of movement.
Animated Logo
The first “O” transforms into a neon disco ball cycling through gradients, echoing the rhythm and emotion of nightlife.
Glass Interface
Soft glass effects add depth and calm within the vivid neon environment, balancing clarity and energy.
